Highly absorbent and silky soft, the Honeycomb Sea Sponge originates from the Mediterranean where the cooler sea temperatures create strong, denser sponges. Sea sponges have excellent exfoliating, circulation-boosting, radiance-enhancing abilities. Softly textured, they allow for gentle but effective removal of dead skin and dry, flaky patches to give you softer, smoother skin. When used with soap or shower gel they create a luxurious lather that is perfect for body cleansing both in the shower or bath.
There is also an eco-element to substituting the more commonly used man-made sponge with a Natural Sea sponge. They contain no synthetic materials or toxic dyes that can harm the planet. Unlike synthetic sponges, they contain no microplastics that can shed during washing and get swept down the drain into rivers and seas.
Rinse in warm water after every use and allow to dry naturally where air can circulate. Do not bleach, boil, machine wash or wring – just squeeze gently. To more thoroughly clean the sponge, soak it in a solution of one-part warm water and one-part white wine vinegar for up to one hour, Rinse well and set the sponge out to air dry. This will keep the sponge fresh and inhibit the growth of bacteria.
If looked after well, these sponges can last over 2 years.
